replacing brake pads on an 84 turbo 200 1984

these brakes are the biggest pain i have ever encountered, needlessely difficult, i cant get the hairpins off to pull the retainer pins out because they just break or turn to dust, the pins are stuck in with rust anyway. ive been spraying these things with brake part cleaner for the past 2 days to no avail, does anyone have any tricks or suggestions as to how to get this done without giving in and paying for a shop to deal with it? as always, any help is greatly appreciated.
