Still troubleshooting a rough idle when cold. Cleaned the IAV and connectors on the TPV - yes it clicks a hair before the throttle bottoms out.
To the question: Is this the way it works?
A cold start:
AMM is ignored.
TPS indicates idle position.
ECU gets cold indication from sensor and increases amount of fuel injected.
This increases idle speed. ( How is this speed determined?)
IAV closes to keep rich condition.
O2 sensor ignored on startup.
After 5 min:
AMM active.
TPS indicates idle position.
ECU gets hot indication from sensor and modulates fuel based on AMM and O2 sensor.
IAV modulates via ECU based on AMM and O2 sensor.
O2 sensor active.
