Regina FI — Why The Special (pricey) O2 Sensor? 900 1993

Mine is OK, but suspect it's the original, at 132kmi. A while back someone tried a Bosch sensor on a Regina system, but had to replace it for the special Regina one. I don't recall if he mentioned exactly why.

Anyone know what makes the Regina sensor different and expensive (about $130 at FCP vs $38 for a splice-in Bosch 3-wire 13913). And why the Bosch sensor can't be used?
