Aftermarket Radio / Headlights 900 1994

I just installed an aftermarket radio/CD player in my 1994 940. Everything seems to work fine, except the headlights will only work when the car is running. The parking lights are not affected. I would appreciate any ideas. I suspect wiring, but is it possible I blew the relay in the installation process?
