B20E CR and cams 120-130

Hi,

After my recent SU worries, I realize that these buddies are getting slightly worn out. Nothing bad, but time to start thinking of installing sth else. By the time I make up my mind, they'll be dead...

I'm now wanting to follow the path of increased CR and better head flow (as I've been told) by installing the head of a B20E I have in stock, either with Webers DCOE or a DIY fuel injection. I'm not sure I want to put the B20E block in since my B20B still has good rings and bearings. This means I would not swap the camshafts either, but I was wondering if the 10,5 CR of the E head will be OK with the B20B (9,5 CR) cam? Will the combination of the two bring any more power, get pinging problems, use less fuel, stay the same with no improvement (in which case, I'd just bolt new carbs on my B20B)? What is your experience?

As for Webers, should I go for 40 DCOE or bigger bore?

I'm definitely not wanting to go into heavy prep, so better keep it original with other carbs than do a Mickey mouse prep...

Thanks in advance! Seb
