I'm starting to get paranoid about what starting the car in extreme cold (-30C) is doing to the turbo, and where I work there's no place to plug the car in. I was wondering if pouring a bit of warm oil in the top end would reduce wear on cold starts. I guess that wouldn't reach the turbo, but anything that could get oil pumping to it quicker would be good right? There must be some trick that prairie dwellers use when they can't plug in. Any ideas?


I also have this thought nagging in the back of my mind, "It's a Swedish car, Sweden is bloody cold, they wouldn't design an engine that couldn't handle a few cold starts, so stop worrying and drive." Hopefully this is the correct answer.
