Will 83 main fuel pump fit in 78 car? 200

On way to work this today my 78 244 died. I have voltage and good ground to main pump but no longer hear it. I have an 83 245 that I am parting out and wonder if I can use the pump from it. FCPGroton lists the pump for the 78 at $255 but only $135 for the 83 model. What are the differences? Thanks in advance.
