1985 240DL Wagon - lack of power, hesitation at speed 200 1985

Im stumped...My 85 240dl Wagon (150000km) has over the past while developed an unpredictable habit of lacking power on the highway and/or hesitating/missing at speed...the gas pedal is down but the engine just doesnt want to work hard?? Here is what I have tried...new in tank pre pump, several replacements of the main fuel filter, new plugs correctly gapped, new plug wires, new coil, new dist. cap and rotor, replacement ECU (corrected the wouldnt run at all problem), new fuel injection relay. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what may be causing my problems? Please help.
