Hi, I've got a 1990 Volvo 740GL that has 59,000 miles on it. I have been driving the car since the summer and have not had any trouble with it at all. However, recently with the cold temperatures I have started to have problems with hard starting. At one point it simply would not start, and after a trip to the mechanic which put new plugs and coil(?), everything was fine again. As temperatures have dropped again, the car now still starts up great, but now it seems to be running on only 3 cylinders, as it shakes, and kind of sputters or hesitates while trying to accelerate. This lack of power and sputtering only happens for the first 6-9 minutes of driving, at which point it seems to warm up and the problem is gone, and the car is at full smooth power. If you could help me with this it would be great. I thought the problem was gone the past few days, but apparently it was only because of the warmer temps..now its cold and she takes a bit to work right. Any one have a good idea of what the problem is??
