Got everything back together (replaced clutch) now a few questions 200

Ok, got the trans, driveline and everything back together. The only thing I didn't was the shifter. I need to know which of the two wires that go up to the OD switch go where? Theres a blue and red (I believe) that plug into the OD switch but I'm not sure if it matter which plug goes on either of the connectors.

Also, since the car ('85 240 DL wagon) has been sitting for about a year waiting for the newly installed clutch, it doesn't want to start. The battery turns the engine over with a lot of power and everything sounds fine except that it's not firing up. I haven't checked anything yet but I was thinking of spraying some starting fluid into the intake to try to get it going. The gas tank was bone dry so I put 2-3 gallons of gas in but not sure if that's enought to get it back up to the engine. I have been starting the car every month or two while it was sitting just to keep things from freezing up and it's always fired up the first two tries, but not now. Any sugguestions?

And last but not least, I adjusted the clutch cable to where I think it should be and once the engine fires up I'll be able to tell if it's tight enough. But as I was adjusting it, I found that there is nothing to hold the threads on the adjustable part from working their way back to where the cable is too loose. When I got to the point where it was tight the black cable housing coming from the clutch pedal was being twisted so there was tension and it would back the adjustable part back out some. Am I missing something that should keep this from happening? Thanks. If any of this doesn't make sense just let me know.
-Josh
