I need help. I have searched through the forums and I can't find any postings that pertain to this problem.
My 88 740GLE has a confusing problem. When the car looses power you can only give it a little throttle. If you push the throttle too far it almost dies and sometimes backfires. The problem is very inconsistent. It doesn’t seem to matter if the car is warm or cold. The strangest part is, when the car looses power you can turn it off and restart it, and it will run perfect. This is what I have replaced; both fuel pumps, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, mass air sensor, and the ECU.
Thanks
