Bosch platinum +2 spark plugs 200 1986

I was just reading an answer to someone wanting information on spark plug wires. The individual mentioned that the Bosch Platinum +2 spark plugs are a poor choice for the ignition system for the 240 (1986 year). I just performed my 30K service and installed my second set of the +2 plugs along with a new set of Bougicourd wires and a new dist cap and rotor. My question is, even though I don't notice any problem with the Bosch plugs, what should I be installing for optimum performance on all of my associated ignition systems?

Xraybob 1986 240DL sedan 278,000miles and purring along to 300K.
