I'm new to the board so let me first say Hello to all you fellow Volvo Drivers. I own a 1989 maroon tank (240 DL) with a very nice B230F engine that was hoisted from a 740 by the previous owner who happened to run a Volvo dealership. I gotta say, after 8 years of owning her I'm really hooked on my baby. She's been really good to me over the years, despite the fact that in the past 3 years I've been putting a repair on her every 6 months. It's better than a monthly car payment, that's for sure.

Over the holidays my car broke down on me in my home town and my parents failed to tell me initially that they knew the volvo repairman in town so I ended up taking my car to a couple of other guys my dad new. Nice guys but they worked out of a gas station and didn't exactly know what the problem was with my car. They thought it was the ICU that was causing my engine not to spark, thus me not getting my engine to ignite the gas it was getting. It was actually a corroded fuse near the battery causing all sorts of electrical problems, like my fuel pumps not even getting gas to the engine. So, in that process, I eneded up buying a brand new Ignition Control Module from Car Quest and having the module installed and tested in my car. Since the unit is an electrical component, I can't return it as a "new" item and get a refund on it. And since I really need to get some of my money back, I'm trying to sell it.

This item is brand new and my engine was cranked less than 10 times with the module installed in it. If anyone is looking for a spare ICU or needs an ICU, mine is much cheaper than what you would pay for one new at most car places. I've still got the original box too. If the item doesn't sell on Ebay in this 7 day period, the item will still be available as I really do need to get some money back on this. I'm really hoping someone's got a project car out there that needs an ICU. And as it says in the auction, this is an ICU for the B230F and similar 2.3L dual overhead cam non-turbo engines.
