The windshields on both my '93 940's smear when the wipers are running in any kind of rain. When the wiper passes, for a second or 2 there's a trailing haze that appears on the windshield, making for miserable driving at night in a rain. I've tried everything from commercial window cleaner, to Windex, to BonAmi, to dilute vinegar. I never touch the windshield with a chamois, and try to use only newspaper to wipe the cleaners off. I've not applied RainX or any similar products. I've used IPD wiper blades, the new Bosch wiper blades, and Volvo wiper blades but cannot solve the problem. I've not had this problem on any of my other Volvos, and these 2 940's were originally purchased at opposite ends of the country (California & Massachusetts). Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a solution? Thanks for the help.
