Hi all, last weekend on the highway I went to pass some cars and the accelerator sticked to the bottom (pretty scary), so I went on the side and turn off the car. I went to check the accelerator cable and it stuck, so I played with it a bit and I put some motor oil from the dipstick on it and everything went fine.
Question is, the accelerator cable was clean (not perfect, but by searching the archives it seem that maybe that wasn't the problem), could the cable get stuck somewhere between the pedal and the front bay?
I have to note to that it was around -30c outside (around -25 f), a friend told me it could happen with any car at that temp?? true?? there where no ice around the cable...
Any info what I should look for because now my wife want a V70 because she's scared of the good old 240! (but I don't want any car payment arghh!!!)
Thank you for the help!
