hex screw driver for sunroof adj? 900

I removed the headliner of the '89 740 sunroof to adjust the sag in the back. I saw the screw that needed the adjustment however its was hex shaped screw. I first thought it required an allen wrench but both sets(inch and metric) didn't fit. Was this a stock assembly or am i looking at a sunroof w/ replaced screws. I'm assuming that i'll need to pick up a hex driver set now.
Am i on the right track?
