Several A/C questions 140-160 1974

I haven't had the pleasure yet of driving a car with a working York piston compressor, although I do have all the parts. I have been advised the vibration is pretty bad. My compressor leaked oil and I am contemplating replacing it with a used rotary. I figured they should be easy to find, reasonably priced and vibrate less. Does anyone know what particular compressor would be a good fit for a 74 144? Are there anybody that perhaps sell custom B20 A/C brackets and compressors as a kit? Second question is the A/C hoses. All of them have cracks to some extent. Does Volvo have them or are there any aftermarket places, maybe A/C specialty shops, that can fabricate them at a lower cost? Lastly, the receiver-drier thingy. I see that the kits that offer upgrade to the newer refrigerants always incorporate a new R/D. Why is that? If I really need one, I guess I could get it used as well from a P&P.

P.S. I'm in Phoenix Arizona and summer is not that far away...
