Heartbreak of rust 200 1987

I was under my 87 240 wagon today for the first time since the brake guys had it up on a lift... and I found a major rust area under the driver seat that the lift punched through ('guessing here). Sigh. How strong is the rest of this area? Am I going to be sitting on the ground soon? Isn't it amazing what 20 years of road dirt will cover?
