There was recentley a conversation pertaining to a OD solenoid modification to bypass the overdrive cutout on an automatic (Aw71?), the suggestion was to disable the solenoid by cutting a "V" notch into the sealing surface of the plunger... is there any reason why a blockoff plate can't be used in place of the solenoid allowing full fluid flow through the channel? Any thoughts on how to do this would be great. I would like to disable it for a few months before I put in a 5 speed.
Thanks,
