Click, Click, Click on B230F 200 1985

My B230F non-turbo has clicked ever since I bought it one year ago. It apparently hasn't caused any functional problems (passed smog, been reliable, etc). It is getting irritating. The click is somewhat higher pitch, does not change with warming up or revving. I pulled each spark plug and the sound does not change, nor does the idle speed.
