When I recently rebuilt my driver's seat, I was surprised to find that the seat contained a heater. I say that I was surprised, because there was no switch anywhere in the car for a seat heater. After consulting the owner's manual, it seems that the heater was made to be controlled via a pre-set thermostat and was a driver's-side-only accessory. I had never felt the heater, so I assumed that something was broken.
To complicate matters, I just a few days ago found a seat heater switch laying under some random junk in the glove box. The switch is the size and shape to fit in one of the unused compartments on the console (where the rear defroster and flasher switches are).
Is there wiring behind the console that would mate with this switch and bypass the other control mechanism?
Thanks,
Keith
