engine oil leak 200

hi,

everytime i fix an oil leak i get another one! bloody frustrating! yesterday i tackled the AT leak, i dropped the pan, removed the exhaust - replaced the O-rings to my oil cooler lines and replaced the pan with RTV sealant g asket maker. no leaks (thank god).

now i have an engineoil leak. this has been going on for a while now. i have had all front seals and rear main seal replaced by my mechanic at considerable cost. and recently i cleaned my PCV which was filled with shit. the breather box accepted oil flush stgraight down and idling the engine produced a lot of escaping gases so i did not remove/replace this.

i still have an oil leak accumulating just near behind the torque converter housing. when last speaking to my mechanic he said the valve cover most likely to blame. i have a replacement gasket to fit. i thought it might be the sump gasket but he said they rarely contribute to a leak. i am stumped and don't know what to do. i feel like i am chasing my tail with this one.

the only thing i can think of is to replace the valve cover just to see what effect that has but i hate diagnosing something by trial and error. it's expensive!

any help would be appreciated.
