Bleeding brakes > help please 200

My book says front calipers need bleeding in pairs (outer and inner lower valves I think). I have only one small section of tubing so I tried to fashion another but it did not hold well.

Outer valve bled cleanly so I tried the inner valve on its own; but even after seven attempts, it's still pumping air through the system. Kept M/cyl reservoir topped up so no apparent problems there. Any ideas how long it should take?

My other problem > I'm nearly out of fluid, it's a long walk to the nearest parts shop and it's snowing. If I get stuck, does anyone recommend reusing the bled through fluid?
