Radio Noise in 240 200

I have a lot of radio interference from the engine, and also can hear a click through the speakers as I apply the brakes.
Installed a supression filter (or something like that) in the power wire to the radio. It helped for a few weeks but then the noise came back. Ground to radio seems good. It's an aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM Cass deck in a 1988 Volvo 240DL. Had the noise for years but would like to reduce or eliminate it.

Any ideas?
