mystery charging problem 900 1992

help! my battery keeps going flat suddenly. before engine start battery reads about 12.4 volts, when started drops to 11.8volts, battery warning light doesnt light up anymore and clip on ameter put on alternator reads about 10amps at tickover, tried different alternator, checked brushes, tried different regulator/brush pack, earths seem alright,
Most day's voltage from alternator measured across battery read 13.5 volts, but finally caught it today at only 11.8v after continually testing through the week.
Does all this mean something to anyone?
