window defrost? 200 1985

Ok, my switch I believe went out for the vaccum pushers to close the inside vent to switchfrom floor defrost and recirculate. How would I check to make sure thats what it is? It might have been a fuse, but don't know which one, there numbered 1-16 in the box if any info much appreciated.
