NA-turbo change.. Help needed 700

Hello I have a small problem. My son overheated his engine, B230ft+(89 745t) (how he managed in -30 temps I don't understand??)and now it is very noisy( con rods loose on crank?). When I raced I experianced a similar problem when I overrevved my engine(351w fords don't like 9000 rpm),after words it made knocking noises just like my son's car is doing now. I have a good NA motor in stock(only 400k, just broken in for a Volvo, been replaced twice for a Chev), can I unbolt his intake and exhaust from his block and bolt in the new block? I realize that I would have to lower the boost pressure(how many psi?)as the NA motor has a higher compression ratio. Other than that and providing an oil return line for the turbo into the oil pan, are there any other modifications or concerns? My other option is to convert to NA, will I need the wiring harness out of the donor car or is the Turbo Harness the same as the NA, other that the battery location and the mass air-flow sensor. In yopur opinions which change will be faster

Any input will greatly appeciated!!

Thank You
