Fuel pressure measurement at rail (after reg) vs. by the fuel pump 700

Hello Folks,

I was wondering if a fuel pressure measurement at the Fuel pump under the drivers seat would show the same reading as if one were to take the reading on the fuel rail after the gas passes through the fuel pressure regulator. I am thinking it must be different since BB readers have gone to great lengths to make fitting that fit to pressure gauge/fuel rail.
