Please advice me on buying '96 wagon 2.3 LPT 900 1996

Hi,

I'm very new to this site, but had many volvo's (mostly 140 series) in the past.
I am in the process of buying a mint 1996 Volvo 940 Polar wagon with a 2.3 LPT (low pressure turbo)with 4 speed automatic. I live in New Zealand and this car is (like most cars in NZ) a Japanese import. It has been maintained and serviced at a Volvo dealer in Japan, had one previous owner and has only just over 100.000 km's on the clock and drives like a dream.

Is there anyone who can tell me a little more about the reliability of this engine and type of car. Is there anything specific that needs to be looked at before purchase and anything that needs specific attention while maintaining and servicing this vehicle.

I would really appreciate your comments!!
