remote oil filter 200

Hi

I have a question concerning the installation of a remote oil filter setup. After scratching and burnig my hands everytime I try to change that thing I´ve started to thik about such an upgrade. Now I would like to know what your experiences are with souch a system. I mean Volvo has thought something about when they put the filter on that specific place...now my consideration is, if I change the location, are there any problems wich could arise because of that? Are there any risks concerning engine problems respectively engine failures with a setup like this?

Thanks for any inpit..by the way it is a 1989 245 GL.
