Greetings,
I have a 92 944 Turbo with 130K miles on it that is only getting 14.7mpg fuel efficiency, on average. A general tune-up was performed about 1K miles ago, and I had hoped better fuel efficiency would have been a result. The following work was done at that time: Replaced the plugs, distributor cap and rotor, plug and coil wires, fuel pressure regulator, Oxygen sensor, fuel filter, and had the fuel injectors rebuilt. While the engine sounds healthier, the bad fuel efficiency issue did not improve. My understanding is that this turbo should get between 19 and 22mpg. Any pointers or ideas in diagnosing the way to better fuel efficiency are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
With kind regards,
Zach
