I recently purchase a 1991 940 turbo 119K. When my swedish auto shop checked it out before purchase, the only bad thing was the strut arm bushings were worn. At that time the steering had a little play and the steering wheel would tug when going over rough pavement. So I had the bushings replaced right away with std rubber bushings. Symptoms never really went away and gradually got to the same place as before replacement. Two months later we replaced same bushings with urethane. Much better but still some vagueness in steering and some tugging on steering on rough pavement. On smooth pavement everything is cool. Shop is really surprised that the urethane bushings did not cure problem. Any ideas on what is happening? Shocks, ball joints and everthing else in front is ok they say. What do you think? Bob
