from steering knuckle... to contact reel... to SRS warning light/codes on dash 200 1990

Pimps, Players, & Bricksters,

Today was a good day... I upgraded my headlight harness (got the part from EastWoodCompany.com) with very little drama. Although, after some intermitent illumination, I found one of the original headlight connectors/pins to be faulty. I will fix that very soon... thank goodness for zip-ties!

My question really stems from something I did over the summer that still requires my attention. I repaired the lower steering knuckle and in the process I broke the f#$king contact reel.

So, after locating the part, I replaced it. No biggie. But, the SRS light is still on... and I am registering a fault code on the dash. Does anyone know, or have access to, the break down of the codes? Bently is lacking and I am confused. Should I go to the dealer for that information? Could I have damaged the crash sensor or power unit somehow? Should I just replace the crash sensor and power unit with a used one from a pick & pull? In my opinion, the connections seem to be fine. However, I am registering an unusual series of flashing codes on the dash... and am also not sure if I am reading them correctly. How do I reset the fault memory? I disconnected the battery, but the problem remains.

Any help would be seriously appreciated... Thanks, Jon
