Head gasket replacement - success 200 1989

Following my post a few weeks ago regarding my moisture in my oil and my loss of coolant in extreme cold weather, I went ahead yesterday and did the head gasket replacmeent.

I was on my own, did the job slowly and carefully, took me 6 hours all in all.
Drove the car last night, oil stayed clear, coolant stayed full, no engine "sweat".

Took it on a 200km drive this morning, after the commute oil still full and crystal clean, coolant still full. Every sign shows perfect. Under of oil filler cap clear and no sign of the white froth I had before.

Success story, thanks for all the advice. Note I used fcpgroton's elring kit.
Out of the kit I used the head gasket, exhaust/intake manifold gaskets, cam cover gasket, and cam seal.
The only comment I had was that it did not appear to come with the complete water pump gasket, just the top rubber (round) seal. Note also that that seal did not exactly fit my after-market pump. I re-used the old one, put some high temp sealant and it seems leak free. The kit also did not include a rear cam seal, luckely I had bought one seperately.

Thanks!
