Applying brakes reduce idle rpm & FI 700 1989

I remember reading a message about how applying the brakes lowers the idle rpm but I cannot find it, can someone remind me of the solution. If sitting at idle and I pump the brakes the rpm's drop from 750 to 400. The engine almost stalls when braking to stop out of gear. Thanks.
I am also finally finding the time to remove fuel injectors to have them sent out to be cleaned. These may be original injectors(210,000 miles ago), will cleaning them work? or should I try to find the $$$ to replace them? Any advice, suggestions or cautions before I pull the fuel rail and injectors is appreciated.

As always thanks for all the help.
