Knacking in Engine 700 1989

Hi,
New to this forum and just bought a 760 T -89 with 270000 miles on it.
Running good, but have 3 main problems.
I did a search, but wasn't clear on a couple of things.

1) Steering pump is hard. Did a flush in the system, but still hard.

2) Knacking from the engine that increases with the rpm. Thinking Valve Stem Tip Rubber Cushions.

3) Whining sound that comes when turbo kicks in. Check all the hoses etc and all seems to be good. The airbox is hold together with a strap, so that could be it.
