trouble getting a stuck fuel filter off 700 1987

I got some humongous wrenches, 22 and 27 mm to change my fuel filter, but can't budge it. Used PB Blaster. While wrestling, managed to crack the rubber hose from the fuel tank (Volvo dealer has plenty at $28 a meter) well it was brittle and ready to go anyway.

These things have got to be a pain because of road exposure, and infrequent changing over the years -- in addition to the round-edged, pressed steel "nuts" they give you to more or less grab on to.

Are there any tricks to getting those banjo fittings off?
