Restarting after short trips 700 1988

"88 760 Turbo w/ 160k. Has developed a problem of not wanting to restart after short ( 10 minute type) trips. Will restart if you wait 2 hours or so for engine to cool down. This problem only occures after short trips, if you drive long enough for engine to completely heat up, there is no problem.
