Driver's side seat belt won't buckle. 900 1992

When I attempt to buckle my seatbelt in my 92 940 GL, the male part slides in and out of the female part without latching.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Can I replace the latch part myself or is it best left to a pro? Where to find it?

Or maybe it just needs lube in a strategic location? I'm not familiar with the mechanism ...
