Two months ago my check engine light came on (1996 965). Found code 410, secondary air injection fault. Found a rotted vacuum line at the check valve, replaced it, confirmed that the air pump was coming on and thought no further of it. Two days ago the light came back on, and once again it's a code 410. Cleared the code, and this morning confirmed that the air pump is cycling. My question is, what else could trip this code? I'll throw in one possible influence, but it could be a red herring. Namely, it was really cold up until yesterday. If the air pump motor is going out, is it more likely to fail to come on when cold? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
