Just this afternoon I came across a '90 760 GLE sedan at a local dealership that specializes in European cars for around $2500. It has 142k miles on it and appears to be in good condition on the outside. The downside is that the dash has a few cracks in it, but that doesn't matter at the moment.
What I'm concerned about is this: The notoriously bad 2.8 PRV V-6 engine. If I take the plunge and get this 760, what should I look out for in terms of bad points of the overall vehicle? Also, I checked out fueleconomy.gov, and why is the V-6 GLE rated so poorly in gas mileage? It's rated at like only 17/21 mpg, whereas my '93 850 is rated at 20/28 mpg.
