I replaced my Cylinder Head Gasket last summer. (Car overheated, kept driving just a little longer, ruptured the gasket, stupid mistake, etc..) I got the cylinder head resurfaced, replaced the head gasket, manifold gaskets, all belts, vacuum lines, water pump, etc.. Timing belt less than 2yrs old.
The car runs OK and pulls well on the highway, but it has gradually developed a bad idle. Things are a little better when the engine is warmed up, you can still feel the engine shaking. Timing is accurate. Spark plugs are clean. But the car sounds and feels terrible at low speed or idle.
Should I retorque the cylinder head bolts? Is it time to clean/replace the oil separator? I have checked for vacuum leaks, but cannot find any. What did I miss? Any suggestions?
