Thought i would share something i did last month to my 65 122s wagon. Years back the generator was replaced by previous owner (w/Delco Alt). The alt bottom bracket was loose and did a poor job positioning and supporting the alt.
I made a bottom and top support bracket; simple after 2 weeks of napkin sketch engineering and bad proto types and trying differnt size belts.I might make copy if there is any intrest.
On suggestion from a friend, I switched sides from passenger side to driver side Left, away from exhaust manifold. To the left side, over the steering box. It’s a hefty mount made from angle iron. Was cheep to make and works great!! Took some doing to get it aligned but it’s a huge improvement. Let me know if anyone needs more info on doing this. The boltholes are right there waiting to support that alternator!! Looks cool too. Dave in Michigan
