Well my sister smacked the mirror on her '93 240 sedan on the way out of the garage, while backing past a pillar. No damage to the casing (still firm to the body, as it swung away on impact) but the mirror itself (manual-adjust) has evidently been rattled loose, and won't stay in position once you adjust it to where you want it. So:

What are the chances I can fix this with a trusty screwdriver and maybe some lock-tite?

No? How about I only have to replace the mounting something-or-other inside the casing? Where can I get that? After market, dealer, or strictly junkyard?

No? Where do I get a "gently-used" replacement for the whole damn mirror assembly from the door skin out? The mirror casing is body color, blue metallic in this case, and you know what that means...also, any hints on how to go about swapping out the mirror / casing assembly - obviously I'm looking at pulling the door panel, then loosening the mounting bolts from the inside right? Any special tools I need for this?
