looking for turbo wagon

I'm new here, but not new to cars. I'd like to get a wagon with enough power that I won't hate to drive it. Third-row seat is a requirement, also. Am I correct that the 900 series wagons have the third seat, as well as IRS? Is the 900 the only model that fits the bill? Do they typically have limited-slip diffs?

Are there any weak points in these cars? Automatic transmission early death, suspension slop, valves hit the pistons when the timing belt breaks, etc?

I'm not that familiar with Volvos, if anyone could give me a rundown on what to look for it would be appreciated. I'm looking for a model between 1998 and 2003.
