AMM number does matter - you guys were right all along 700 1987

There's some history here, but I won't bore you with all the details. I substitiuted an AMM 280 212 013 from an Audi and was bragging that it seemed to work fine - I was in the midst of poor idle problems probably due to wiring harness issues, fixed the wiring, but buggered the AMM in the process, then swapped in the wrong AMM, but the car still idled better than it did before the work so assumed it was OK. Well, I failed an emissions test - high CO on idle and decided to try another AMM, this time a 280 212 007 - the right one, and I can already tell the car is running much better. So there you go.

Saw an 87 245 with 527,000 km at the junkyard - they don't usually get that high here in the rust belt of southern Ontario.
