engine rebuild 200 1983

I'm in the process of rebuilding a b23f, out of a '83 244 GL manual, that spun a cam bearing. Does anyone know of places to find a cheap replacement camshaft(as in not the vx) and if there is performance to be gained by using a different cam.

Also, what is a recommended supplier of rebuild kits(don't need the pistons) or components. I only spent $700 on the swedish contraption and am trying to keep the costs down.
