I bought a lovely and rare "Anti-Spin" aka: limited-slip for my 1991 244 5 years ago. It started making a slight whurring sound at 40mph when I lifted off the throttle, so I pulled the cover off and the tips one of the planet gears looks a little chewed-up. It is still salvageable, I just don't have the time or the money to rebuild it. I know that the rebuild costs will be more than the cost of a bone yard special. So I just got a low miles standard diff from the bone yard for $100 and am going to put that in. I bought a new MINI, so this one is going up for sale after the winter and I want a happy customer.
I know how rare these things are, I hate to see it melted down and become a couple of KIAs, but I won't hang on to it forever.
Anyone who wants it, come get it, I live at the junction of State highway 3 and Interstate 495, or you can have it shipped on your dime.
I live in North Billerica Massachusetts 01862, I am right next to some big trucking firms so I can check on shpping costs if someone was interested.

P.S. It is still in the car, I drive it daily, so it not bad at all, I just know it is going to fail eventually, and when I sell this car I don't want any complaints. (It is in otherwise excellent condition) If interested in the whole package, call me.
