940 Wagon: Rear Hatch Latch is broken 900 1995

Hi all,

The latch (locking mechanism on the hatch) on the rear hatch of our 940 wagon appears to be broken. It looks like it is jammed in the "locked" position and we can't "unlock" it. While in for some other service, the mechanic said that the latch would need to be replaced and quoted some outrageously high price for it.

Has anyone experienced similar symptoms, or is anyone able to recommend a fix? If we do need a new latch, where could we get one? I'm guessing some place like FCP Groton could source one for us cheap...
