Why are my altternator belts crooked? 200 1988

I was doing my weekly inspection of my engine compartment and noticed that my fan belts were crooked on the water pump pulley/alternator connection. Specifically, the alternator seems to stick out further toward the radiator than the water pump pulley. Are the alternator bushings bad?
